The Landmine is happy to announce our partnership with the Democracy and Civic Action Week Essay Contest. The theme is ‘Designing a Future for Democracy.’  In addition to our partnership, the Landmine is the $500 grand prize sponsor. This is the third annual contest. Landmine staff will also be part of the team of judges. The essay questions are:

In the interest of designing a healthy future for our democracy, this year’s essay contest invites you to speak to the following questions:

• What are the healthy signs of a vital democracy?
• How can citizens support a system that grants people the power to shape their own futures?

The submission deadline is September 10 by 5 pm. Here is the submission link.
