During the early hours of July 20, 2025, a shootout occurred in Downtown Anchorage outside the Gaslight Bar on 4th Avenue. The Gaslight is located directly across the street from the Anchorage Police Department headquarters.
The Alaska Landmine obtained security footage of the wild event. We stitched it together to show a full chronology what happened. The full video can be seen below.Â
The footage shows two masked men with guns walking up to the bar, which they never entered. Several women were walking behind them. Not long after a fight breaks out between two women. The two masked men get into an altercation with a security guard. One pulls out a pistol and begins firing. One security guard was shot in the hand. Another was hit by several bullets. Both survived. Â
Another security guard, who was clearly aware something was about to go down, opens the trunk of his car and pulls out a riffle. He dropped the shooter as he was backing up. He was held by police but then released without charges.Â
Soon after the shootout, Anchorage police arrive on scene amid the melee. The other masked man that walked up with the shooter can be seen walking past his body when after the first police officer shows up on scene. A car with some of the women in the fight can be seen leaving the scene not long after the shooting started.Â
In before somebody whines that mean old Jeff put an icky video on the internet.
It’s gone 2 hours later.
Impressed how Jeff can determine the ownership of the car that held the tactical rifle, just by watching the video.
In this time of rampant disinformation and faked videos, journalists respect their readers by explaining how they came to possess the information they are disseminating.
When their sources insist on anonymity, journalists report that, explain why the information should be considered credible, and detail how the newsworthiness of the information outweighs the public’s right to know who the source was.
The Alaska Landmine betrays no such concerns.
Good grief. How about some relevant details? Did the shooter die? What what race? What age?
Yes, Samona, Twenties.
My evaluation based on friends he was with and the look on his face
