Welcome to this edition of the Alaska Stalker, a lighthearted round up of the best and worst of Alaska’s social media landscape.

If you enjoy the Alaska Stalker, please consider supporting working moms like me by sending in hot tips, screencaps, overheards, and spotted ins. You can reach me at akstalker@alaskalandmine.com. As always, thanks for reading.

Where were you when Alaska Airlines made history and announced masks are now optional? Sen. Scott Kawasaki was in the middle of traveling to Juneau.
FBX to ANC = mask. ANC to JUN = no mask! Although, I think he kept his on for both legs.
***
Just minutes after the news broke, I started getting texts asking about Sen. Lora Reinbold. Everyone wanted to know – would her ban stand? Luckily for us, Lora didn’t keep us waiting long. Just a few hours after the news broke she was posting a baggage tag selfie (maskless, natch) and whoosh, she was gone. ✈️ WOW.
***
Down in Juneau things are heating up and look like a real mess. Pic related.
***
Woah. Is Rep. Zack Fields throwing shade at Sen. Robb Myers home hotel cooked dinner posts? 🤪
***
It’s wonderful to see traditions like this return to the Capitol. Great job, Grayson!
***
Glad to report Sen. David Wilson’s bees are safe and sound in their new digs. Pour some honey out for the poor bees that didn’t make it. 🐝🙏😥

We’re supposed to have a citizen legislature, yet here’s another senator with lakefront property. What is going on? 🙃
***
Over in the congressional race, candidate Adam Wool is taking his message to the slopes. What’s his message? Vote Wool 🐑 No Bull 🐂💩 OMG.
Whole some in Fairbanks were at a convention, I was at Skiland on the deck takin in some sun and some runs and getting votes with the Vote Wool/No Bull T-shirt #akleg #whereissarah pic.twitter.com/pupUcr4fn7

Adam, can you send me one of those shirts ASAP?
***
Wait a minute, does Chris Constant for Congress have a new campaign slogan?! 😉
***
I kid, I kid. Not sure about you, but it’s very important and not weird at all that my potential future congressman has a shrine to Ruth Bader Ginsberg at his house. Chris gets it. ✊
***
At first I thought this said “WHITENESS.” 😱😱😱
***
Nick Begich is back to doing what he knows best – going negative. Clearly Nick doesn’t watch The Masked Singer, because Sarah’s performance of Sir Mix-A-Lot’s Baby Got Back was 100% a public service.
***
Speaking of negative, who would have guessed Jeff “the garden guy” Lowenfels would go full Nick Begich on Twitter. First he attacked Santa Claus! (He’s definitely going on the naughty list this year.)
***
And then he went for Sarah Palin, not once but twice when he…. agreed with HIMSELF in the comments??? LOL! Does Jeff have and alt account he forgot to switch to, or does he just not understand Twitter? Stalker gold!
***
Have you seen Mike Pocaro’s most recent promo ad? Mike’s going full Sarah for Congress in 3, 2, 1….

Uh oh, I sure hope Santa Claus isn’t letting his celebrity go to his head…
"The Late Late Show with James Corden" just featured a segment on our Special Election for the U.S. House of Representatives, My campaign seems to be gaining momentum, thanks to my beloved independent and creative supporters :-)}https://t.co/gTrvjRPgf1 pic.twitter.com/MELQIggTYd

Up in Fairbanks, U.S. Senate candidate Kelly Tshibaka and her husband Niki had a ball manning Kelly’s booth and passing out stickers of Lisa embracing President Joe Biden. Totally normal.
***
IDK. If Kelly wins I think she’ll fit right in. 😁
***
Tell me Les Gara runs his own social media without telling me…
***
Dunleavy is 😴😴😴 But, I’m thrilled to report TITO IS BACK!
***
#neverforget
***
If you forgot Chris Kurka was running for governor, then you’re not alone. Kurka’s campaign page is basically all memes. Maybe he should officially turn it into a joke page.
***
Meanwhile Charlie Pierce is pretty confident the only reason Trump endorsed Dunleavy is because “He’s never met Pierce.” 🤣🤣🤣 With candidates like these, how can we lose?
***
In Anchorage, Assembly member Forrest Dunbar was sworn in for another term. I’m grateful for three more years of high quality content. 🙏
***
I can’t tell who’s more excited: Forrest or Meg.
***
It’s the end of an era. I can only hope newly elected Assembly member Randy Sulte will provide half the fodder that John Weddleton did. Thanks for serving, John.
***
Not sure I’m loving the rebrand of the Kenai Peninsula Sport, Rec and Trade Show.
Damn that is funny as hell about Ogan.
