Video: District 1 Anchorage Assembly Debate: Assembly member Danial Volland v. Daniel George

Six of Anchorage’s 12 Assembly seats are up this year. Only two incumbents, Assembly members Daniel Volland and Felix Kameron Perez-Verdia, are seeking re-election – meaning there will be at least four new Assembly members in April.

Ballots for the Assembly races, the two Anchorage School Board races, and bond propositions went out in the mail on March 11. They are due back by April 1.

The Landmine will be doing debates for all six Assembly races, though some candidates did not respond to our invitation.

You can watch the debate for District 1 – Seat L – North Anchorage between Assembly member Daniel Volland and Daniel George below. Nick Danger did not respond to our invitation.

Thanks to Assembly member Daniel Volland and Daniel George for participating. And a big thanks to our sponsors for making these debates possible!

Every time Daniel George makes this argument I am going to donate another $10 to Volland. Anyone who uses this whole “I was born here” line is using… Read more »
